New Lip & Tongue-Tie Patient Information – Arlington Heights, IL
How to Get Started with Us
Has your pediatrician or lactation nurse told you that your child has a lip or tongue-tie? Or, are they experiencing symptoms that you believe are due to these conditions? If so, Dr. Ursitti and our team are eager to help, and you’ll find everything you need to know to get started with us below. If you have any questions after reading over this page, you can always give us a call—we want you to feel as comfortable as possible from the moment you step through our doors.
Your Child’s First Visit
Whether your child has already been diagnosed with a lip or tongue-tie or not, your child’s first appointment will consist of Dr. Ursitti asking about any symptoms you’ve noticed, and then she’ll perform a brief exam. Based on her findings, she’ll recommend a frenectomy if necessary. You’ll then have time to ask questions, schedule the procedure (which can be completed on the same day in some cases), and arrange a follow-up as well.
Patient Forms
We don’t want you to wait when you come here, so to help our team check you in fast (and save you from having to fill out forms while holding a child), please download our patient forms below. Complete them at your leisure, and be sure to bring them to your first appointment so we can bring you straight to the back.
Dental Insurance
If your medical insurance offers coverage for frenectomies, our team will file the medical claim first for you to ensure you get instant access to your benefits. This type of coverage is not consistent across insurance plans and providers, however, so we recommend looking over your policy and discussing it with our team before you commit to treatment. Just give us a call with your membership information nearby, and we’ll be able to help.
Financial Policy
We charge one flat fee for lip and tongue-tie treatment, and this includes the frenectomy itself and one follow-up visit. We accept cash, check, and all major credit cards, and you can learn more about our payment methods and options by clicking the link below.
